Their Day: Nicotra's Ballroom
Hilton Garden Inn, Staten Island, NY
Mena reached out to me asking if I could capture a gender reveal party for him and his wife Marian. I hadn't captured one before and was super excited to join them at the Trevi Garden at Nicotra's Ballroom! It was also an excuse for me to travel to Staten Island, which I don't recall ever visiting.
We started their day with some photos of just the two of them. I'm so happy we had an opportunity to spend time together and have a little anniversary-maternity-couples sesh before joining them at their party! We took advantage of the autumn weather; my favvv. 😍 These two cuties were laughing and giggling the whole time; they definitely seem like a perfect match!
Marian and Mena had invited family and friends to join them in their gender-reveal-baby-shower. They had lots of cute decorations and details. I absolutely LOVED the moon table centerpieces and plush star ornament favors! (I may have one or two of the ornaments floating around the house! 😇) And balloons are such great a way to convey a joyful and energetic atmosphere! Guests were seen sporting "Team Boy" or "Team Girl" stickers. There was also a guessing game to figure out whose baby photos belonged to either Marian or Mena.
These two cuties learned the gender of their baby by popping an oversized black mystery balloon. I can't believe the energy and sound of the crowd when they did; it sounded like I was at a football game and a team just won! I won't spoil the surprise for you and will let you discover what they were excited to welcome to their family in the photos!
