Their Session: We met at Ramapo Valley County Reservation in Mahwah, NJ on a humid and toasty spring evening. My husband joined me and we all had such a great time in between skipping and cracking up! I love that Amanda and Jordan felt comfortable with us and we had such a great engagement session! Before I share some of my favorites, I'd love to share more about their love story!
How They Met: Amanda and Jordan met while working at the same school district together. Amanda was a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) teacher while Jordan was an IT technician. Part of his role was to help support the teachers with technology. Being a part of the tech department as well, Amanda and his paths crossed and they started occasionally working together. One day, Jordan asked to exchange phone numbers, of course to keep better contact regarding work. 😉 After that, Amanda and Jordan couldn't stop talking. She said he was very kind and funny, not to mention cute! Jordan thought the same about Amanda!
The Proposal: When it came to the forever, here's just what Amanda had to share about it! "We started going to this restaurant in Sparta, NJ near where we live called Krogh's. I don't know why but EVERY time we went there we had 'serious' conversations about our future together like getting married, having kids, our timeliness, etc. So 2 days before this past Christmas, Jordan asked me if I wanted to go for a 'pre-Christmas' dinner there and something about that, was SO unlike him lol so I just had a feeling it was going to happen that night! On the way to dinner, we spot a Christmas tree lit up and a town hall building with Christmas lights (later I found out Jordan looked up a spot with holiday lights on purpose) and he suddenly pulls over to go take a walk to look at the lights. As we are looking at them, he gets down on one knee and asks if I will spend forever with him! Of course I said yes and it was so romantic that it just us two there. Then we enjoyed a lovely dinner at our favorite restaurant! Then 2 days later on Christmas we got to video call our families as we were hosting Christmas day dinner for my family and share the news! It was perfect!" So absolutely sweet! A precious moment between the two of them around the holidays! And they were able to include their families right after to celebrate that in addition to Christmas together!
Their Love: Jordan enjoys how caring Amanda is. He said he loves to have a partner that he can do anything with. He considers the boring stuff fun when he gets to be with her! Amanda loves his silliness and sense of humor. She knows that he would do anything for her, and shared that is the ultimate feeling for her! She said his desire to make her happy no matter what was what made her start to fall in love with Jordan. She just knew that he was her person! Jordan had so much fun with Amanda and enjoyed spending time with her when he started falling in love with her. Their idea of a perfect weekend day would sitting outdoors at a brewery or tap room together with the sun out.
Amanda describes herself at a dog person while Jordan is totally a cat person. They got a little spunky kitten named Nitro about a week before they got a super energetic dog names Nala! Their research of getting them young and at the same time totally paid off because they love to play together! They both turned 2 and were from rescues! Nitro the female kittie was named after a snowboarding brand Amanda and Jordan use, while Nala was a name they saw of a different doggo online and loved it for their female pup!
Amanda & Jordan: I had the best time with you both during your session! It felt like my hubby and were hanging out with pals on a casual but hilarious double date. I can't remember the last time we laughed that hard or had such a blast, especially in the humidity of New Jersey! Thank you for teaching me that you have to check for scorpions in your BED before you go to sleep at night in the desert states! Definitely curbing my desire to visit Arizona! I can't wait to hang out with you guys again!
